are you sure there is no CD changer in either the console or trunk? Often they had a 6 pack changer installed else were in the vehicle.Bought an 01 lincoln ls with just a casette player. has a CD button on dash and steering wheel controls, how?
01 lincoln comes with a cd player in the dash not a cassette so some one has taken the old one out and replaced it you should be able to us the controls but only if you buy a cd player that supports controls take it to best buy or your local audio shop they will tell you what can be done in more detail

Can I replace my car stereo and still have the radio control buttons on the steering wheel work? Hooking it up

I just baught a new car (97 Pontiac Grand Am GT), and the radio in it doesn't have a cassette player or MP3 cord slot (I want either one of these so that I can play my MP3 player in the car). The steering wheel has radio seek/volume control buttons on it that I think will be very convenient - but the radio currently installed isn't the one I want, so I'd like to replace it. What I want to know is, if I were to buy a new stereo for the car, would it still hookup to the buttons on the steering wheel? Or do the buttons only work with the factory model stereo?

Answers would be greatly appreciated, thanks. Can I replace my car stereo and still have the radio control buttons on the steering wheel work? Hooking it up
you'll have to buy an extra module that will make an aftermarket cd player work with the conrols, it will cost you about 100 bucks retail. Can I replace my car stereo and still have the radio control buttons on the steering wheel work? Hooking it up
It is possible with an external source. google...no better yet, do a yahoo search for soundgate. They are one of the companies that manufacture such a product. Good Luck!
youccan buy and aftermarket radio and add a steering wheel interface to it look at the interfaces at intergrationsolutions.net
yep, you will need an adaptor that retains the use of the buttons, but you will also need a head unit thats has steering wheel inputs on it. kenwood makes a few like that and are very nice units for around $150 (not sure on retail price on those)

Can anyone tell me how to activate cruise control in camry 2004 model? I cant find the buttons for activating.

you can find all you need to know on page 135 of your owners manual. Can anyone tell me how to activate cruise control in camry 2004 model? I cant find the buttons for activating.
it's in between steering wheel and wiper contron on the right side of the steering wheel. Can anyone tell me how to activate cruise control in camry 2004 model? I cant find the buttons for activating.
I own a 2003 Camry and in that this is how I set the cruise. There is a button at the end of a lever on the right side of the steering. Press the button and this gets the cruise on (activated). Once you are driving and ready to cruise. Pull the lever down and this gets your car to start cruising. I suppose it should be the same method for the 2004 Camry as well.

Why do you press the buttons harder on your tv remote control when you know that the battery has run out?

    HAHAHA!!!

I do it on the off chance the remote is screwed/ the buttons have perished ( which is worse than the battery running out...

Basically we are just lazy mofo's!!!

good question!!!Why do you press the buttons harder on your tv remote control when you know that the battery has run out?
Well, i would suggest that when we press the buttons harder, we also take other measures to improve remote control signal. IE, when i think the batteries are going flat, my natural inclination is to press the button as hard as i can, point the remote directly at the TV, and lean forward a bit. I would suggest that while pressing the button harder makes no difference, the pointing and leaning do.

So basically, its the things we don't realise we're doing that makes the difference. Why do you press the buttons harder on your tv remote control when you know that the battery has run out?
My remote control has 10 buttons that fail, however the ones i need (channel changing, volume control, AV) all function perfectly.

I don't press the buttons harder when the battery runs out, but the faulty functionality could be a contibuting cause to people doing so.
Because it will recognise my anger and do what i want!!

Why do we press harder on the remote control buttons when we know the batteries are getting weak?

Same for lifts. Why do we keep pressing the buttons when we know that wouldn't make the lift come faster! Why do we press harder on the remote control buttons when we know the batteries are getting weak?
I know, and when you play video games and press the buttons really hard like it's going to make a difference (my kids do this). Or when you're in the passenger's seat of the car and the driver looks like they're not going to brake in time before hitting another car, so you start pushing your foot through the floorboard like it's going to help. I think it's just a psychological thing, because so many things that we do will respond better and faster if we push harder (like a door that's stuck, or a tight lid on a jar). Why do we press harder on the remote control buttons when we know the batteries are getting weak?
It's a natural response to human frustrations I suppose. And that's the only think you can do at that point in time if you already run out of batteries at home
humans think that pressure is the answer to everything and are very impatient
impatience, laziness and denial. Didn't you know that if you press the elevator/lift button, it will really make it come faster? NOT%26gt; people are superstitious and think , it isn't a user interface problem, but a mechanical one!
Because we are daft, we suspend our critical thinking when it comes to machinery, electronics and anything else we suppose to be influenced by our actions and to be inhabited by tiny sprites that appreciate our lending them a hand.
to lazy to get up and change the channel
Too lazy to get new ones
lol thats so funny and true we are lazy and another question in relation to that one, why will you search for a lost remote control instead of just going up to the tv to change the channel?
I think it is just a habit%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;that's all i can think of!! But i do it!! ha!!
Because humans want things now and don't want to wait and because we are too lazy to go over to the TV and turn it on or take the stairs
For the same reason you extend your arm closer to the TV, when you know the batteries are getting weaker.....
