Why is it that when the batteries in your remote control wear out you just push the buttons harder?

It's been proven to work.

I also tap the remote against the heel of my hand...it gives the batteries a little ';boost';.Why is it that when the batteries in your remote control wear out you just push the buttons harder?
In the switch contact, there is some form of resistance

When your battery is low, you would need to reduce all possible resistance to allow the current to flow through.

Then again, I think its psychological, just like how I use to hit my old TV when it acts up... it works though... Why is it that when the batteries in your remote control wear out you just push the buttons harder?
Because we're not sure if it is the batteries or the remote control. I think its somewhat automated though.

Good question.
Because you want to change the channel or adjust the volume where you鈥檙e at, you don't really feel like walking to the TV.
Its wishful thinking... like how we push elevator button several times like that is supposed to make it come down faster. ;)
People are stupid...they have no clue how a remote control works...they think they can treat it like a person and bully it into submission.
Because you just like to push the buttons anyway...you never know what will happen...lmao!

:)
No, I slap it a few times.
