Why do we press harder on the remote control buttons when we know the batteries are dead?

i don't know but so true. lol and sometimes i bang it on the tableWhy do we press harder on the remote control buttons when we know the batteries are dead?

b/c we dread the fact of having to go out and buy those high *** batteries or a new remote control if those new batteries don't work.

there might just be one more click left in the remote if i can inflict enough pain on it!!
We hope that will make it work.
Maybe to get that extra tiniest bit of juice of them. Down to the last drop lol. Or maybe we do it bec we are angry that it isn't working and we want to push the button all the way through the remote lol.
Because we think it's just a short - surely that battery couldn't be dead yet. Did you ever take them out and put them back in to see if that would make them work? Same concept.
