Why do you press harder on the buttons of a remote control when you know the batteries are dead?

Dunno, Skycat, ------------I guess it's a ';Man'; thing! Why do you press harder on the buttons of a remote control when you know the batteries are dead?
becuase you are p*ss*d of with itWhy do you press harder on the buttons of a remote control when you know the batteries are dead?
dont know, probably for the same reason that you take the cover off and roll the batteries round to squeeze out that last bit of life instead of just replacing them!
Lol were you watching me?
lol, good question, just one of those daft things we all do!
bc you don't want to look for the stupid fresh batteries you are not sure where you put them, and the fact that your show is starting soon and maybe you can get one more click out of the damn thing
Boring answer - Because you are not sure that the switch you are pressing is making a good enough contact.

And to squeeze every last ounce of life out of the thing.

It always happens when you want to start recording something.
i don't press,i replace batteries every 6 month.
to teach the remote who's boss
Just making sure it is completely dead
to sqeeze every last ounce of juice out of the blighter
